Luke's book, "Stuff I Wrote While Driving" was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2005. He began writing poetry at the age of seven and continues to write almost daily. Poetry is Luke's way of journaling and remembering his own life experiences in a deep and vibrant way.
He has also presented a challenging seminar titled, "Poetry Happens." This is an encouragement to others to find the "poetry" in their own lives. Please contact Luke if you would like him to present this to your group.

Luke's newest volume of poetry was just released! It is available in ebook form on Amazon for only $4.99.
"The Chicago Bus Stop Diaries" is the short history of eighteen people, at one Chicago bus stop, on one morning in the spring of 2011.
The eighteen main characters were pulled off of the sidewalk of South Canal Street between Jackson and Van Buren one morning and written down in prose by the author. They are found in "The Chicago Bus Stop Diaries" in the same order as they appeared in real life.
This work is an admonition to all who read to look deeper into the moments of each day to find their treasure and tragedy. Let every person be a surgeon, pulling back the flesh of each day to reveal its inward parts.
